“New Israeli startup IRSeek is indexing public Internet Relay Chat (IRC) channels at the rate of 6 million conversations a day. 300 million conversations have now been indexed by the company. The most popular networks, including EFnet, DALnet, Freenode and QuakeNetUndernet, are all being monitored - IRSeeK is now “listening” to 2000+ channels across 10 networks.”

South Park

“MTV Networks, the biggest division of Viacom Inc. has announced plans to make every South Park episode available online for free as part of a plan to make the show available to a larger audience.”

This is hapenning everytime more, imagine the amount of content that has been published in the past that you would to see again. How many content become obsolete in one day? The fact companies will share this specific content will not hurt their business, actually I see this as a healthy new business.
