According to the organizers, ‘CSSE is one of the important conferences sponsored by IEEE Computer Society, which serves as a forum for scientists and engineers in the latest development of artificial intelligence, grid computing, computer graphics, database technology, and software engineering.’ Even better, fake author Herbert Schlangemann has been selected as session chair (PDF) for that conference. (The name Schlangemann was chosen based on the short film Der Schlangemann by Andreas Hansson and Björn Renberg.)”
Quality is not important anymore, money is talking louder then anything, this amazing piece of software showed us, not how advanced artificial intelligence is reaching, but how stupid we are for accepting a fragile revision and acceptance system of the scientific community.

Suddenly my Time Capsule started screaming, Time Machine was only able to mount the backup drive in read-only mode, apparently it got corrupted. I tried Disk Utility, but it didn’t work, formatting was the way to go, the only bad thing is that I’ll have to wait another day or so to copy everything again.

Today 10am a driver came to pick me up in my office, took me directly to Record studio’s, getting there I had my own cabinet, with sofa, television and things to eat and drink, minutes later I went to make-up (OMG!) and then recorded the technology show Link Brasil, this episode about Wireless Internet, that will go live on Saturday, 8pm.

Martin just wrote in his blog

If you read Fon’s revenues which I wrote in May/08 and I suggest you to read FON Raises $9.5 Million - To buy their grave? too, you will recall that he wrote:
“(…) Cash burn which was over a million euros during December was down to 480K euros in April and is going down to 350K euros in June (…)”
I also predicted this:
“That was fast, 18 million Euros is gone in around 24 months, I really though it was going to last more, only solution, more investment, this time 1/3 of the initial investment, 9.5 milion dollars, why it’s announced in dollars and not Euros like the last time? Fool me! It is 6 million Euros, around 8 months of happiness.”
If cash burn is really down to 310k, we still have around 12 months until the next round of investment.
